This was my favorite book when I was little. I loved finding caterpillars on the trees and putting them in jars. Then I got older and started to babysit the Smith children around the corner and Melissa Smith pulled a caterpillar apart, completely ripping it in two. So disgusting. Haven't really been into them since.

You know that cute little Melissa Smith that tore apart the catepiller - well she was last year's Snake River Junior Miss and crowned the new one this weekend. Wow - time flies when you are having fun.
What was her talent? Taming wild caterpillars?
oh. i saw a caterpillar on the driveway a few days ago. you hardly see them anymore! so i bent down to take a look at it and said to myself, "oh, a caterpillar!" then i watched it crawl for a few seconds, bending and stretching it's way to wherever it was headed. then in squished it. haha. just kidding. i love them.
